Amlin has announced the appointment of Miles Taffs as the firm’s new head of Aviation at Amlin London.
Taffs has been with Amlin London for the last seven years, having joined in 2003 as a leading class underwriter.
He first entered the London Insurance Market in 1986 whilst working for Willis Faber as a broker.
Two years later Taffs began his underwriting career with Minster Insurance, gaining experience in airline, products, airports and GA sub-classes.
His appointment will come into effect from 30 March, 2011, when he will replace Rod Dampier.
Dampier, who has led Amlin’s Aviation underwriting operation since 1997, is set to retire.
