Guy Carpenter appoint chief actuary

Global risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC has announced the appointment of Steve White as the firm’s new chief actuary.
White, who assumes the position with immediate effect, succeeds Don Mango who has been appointed head of Global Advisory.
White will continue to spearhead the development of risk and capital decision tool MetaRisk®, and will be tasked with enhancing Guy Carpenter’s actuarial standards.
He will be based in Seattle, and will report directly to Mango.
White joined the firm a decade ago, prior to which he worked for Swiss Re and Allstate Re.
Analytics, Capital Markets, Specialty Practices and Advisory Chief Executive Officer Bill Kennedy has said that the appointment of White underscores the firm’s commitment to top quality analytics and advisory services.
