Travel insurance can provide relief for travelers that must cancel their trip and forfeit their vacation investment. The trip cost should include all pre-paid and non-refundable costs associated with that trip. This can include flights, lodging, cruises and tours. When the traveler has only paid a deposit and wants to get travel insurance before the trip is paid for, then there are two options of how to calculate the trip cost.

The traveler can insure the total trip cost in advance, before that actual amount has been paid and is at risk. If that amount is unknown, then they have the option to round up. Sheilas Wheels launches travel insurance

Sheila’s Wheels has broadened its product range to include travel insurance with the launch of a policy aimed at the ‘savvy female holidaymaker’.

The new insurance package will have standard ‘handbag on holiday’ cover plus a ‘kids-go-free’ feature and these will be included on both single and two-parent family policies. It also offers access to a 24-hour helpline to provide support in emergency situations and a ‘travel-bag’ top up option, which gives extended-trip travellers, or people who like to pack more, the option of paying a higher baggage limit.

Many holidaymakers hoping to get away to enjoy winter sports this year do not have adequate insurance to protect them if they are injured, says More Than .

Even though some tourists have taken out cover, for many it will not include all of the activities they are planning to get involved in and they will be left to foot the bill if they are injured.
